Georgia and Germany agree on implementing €247m joint projects

Governmental Consultations between Georgia and Germany has completed successfully and as a result several new projects are coming for Georgia.

During the two-day Consultations held on August 29-30 in German’s capital of Berlin, the two countries’ authorities discussed implementation of bilateral projects worth of €247 million, that should be financed by the German government-owned development bank (KfW).

Meanwhile, Georgia will participate in the regional projects and especially in the projects of German development agency GIZ for the next years, with an amount of €25.9 million.

These projects will benefit all three countries of the South Caucasus – Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan,” read the press release published by the German Embassy to Georgia.

Furthermore, the countries agreed on additional assistance to support the dual system of vocational education.

The Governmental Consultations between Georgia and Germany is held in every two years.
