A new hotel will be built in the village of Omalo, in Georgia’s historical region of Tusheti which is considered a gem of Georgia in terms of its spectacular cultural heritage.
Local company Nabadi will invest 550,000 GEL (about $225,874/€190,506*) to build a two-floor, 24-room, high-standard hotel in the mountainous village of Omalo.
Nabadi is the 29th beneficiary of the state program ‘Host in Georgia’ which is a sub-component of the state program ‘Produce in Georgia’ and supports the development of the hotel industry in the country.
The new hotel will be opened in summer 2018.
At the first stage 16 people will be employed at the hotel.
To note, from this year a new airfield has opened in Omalo. Once a week a helicopter flies to Omalo and serves locals as well as border guards.
