Russian occupation forces are undergoing a military training in the village of Orchosani in Georgia’s breakaway Tskhinvali region (South Ossetia), says the Georgian State Security Agency.

The Agency also said that there is a fire in the village.

The Agency contacted the European Union Monitoring Mission in Georgia after reports in social media said that there were shooting near the occupation line.

The Mission used its hotline to check the information and it was confirmed that there was a military training in the village.

"Also, according to the information obtained through the hotline, on the occupied territory there was a small-scale fire which will soon be extinguished by the so-called emergency service of the occupied forces”, the State Security Agency said.

Some users posted on Facebook earlier today that the shooting during the occupation forces’ training resulted in a fire near the forest in Orchosani.
