Georgia’s national exams have passed and thousands of young people in the country are waiting to find out whether or not they will become students.
Meanwhile the country’s National Assessment and Examination Centre revealed some statistics about the most in demand professions and universities in Georgia.
Maia Miminoshvili, head of the centre, said that the highest number of university entrants have applied to these three faculties:
She added that among those faculties, which are fully funded by the state, the following were most demanded:
Miminoshvili stressed that this year an increased demand was observed on the Faculty of Construction at Georgia’s State Technical University, which she believed was a positive trend.
She mentioned that demand was increased also on the Georgian Language Preparation Program from ethnic non-Georgian students.
Tbilisi State University remains the most popular institution among university entrants, followed by Ilia State University, Tbilisi State Academy of Arts and Tbilisi State Medical University.
The final results of the national exams are expected to be known by the end of August.
