World’s fashion retailers to produce jeans in Georgia

Made in Georgia will be printed on labels on the inside of clothing of the world’s biggest fashion retailers.

ZARA, MANGO, Bershka, Massimo Dutti will produce jeans in the small town of Ozurgeti, in Georgia’s western region of Guria, where a new clothing factory is planned to be opened.

Turkish company Baykanlar will invest 2 million GEL in opening the clothing factory in Ozurgeti.

The factory is due to be opened in 2018.

The Turkish company representatives have already met with local authorities to discuss the agreement details.

It is expected that the new factory will employ around 300 people.
