Georgia’s National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has released a special statement voicing several recommendations for people to take care against insects and contagious diseases during the summer season.
The Centre especially focused on the threats caused by ticks and mosquitos.
Imnadze recommended parents not to walk their kids in the late evenings and to wear bright clothing in order to detect any insect on your body.
He also stated that using a protecting net from insects is important.
When it comes to ticks, Imnadze said they spread various illnesses and people should be cautious when they walk in nature.
Imnadze said using pincers or a similar object is the best option, as well as using water to clean the area where there was a tick and then applying an antiseptic solution.
He appealed to people to drink about two liters of water daily in the summer to avoid negative influences of the sun.
