The Georgian capital of Tbilisi is hosting an open air festival dedicated to the 25th anniversary of Georgian and German development cooperation with various cultural activities today.
From 1 pm until 10 pm, the renewed Agmashenebeli Avenue in a historic district of Tbilisi will become a meeting place for local and foreign pedestrians, offering musical performances, exhibitions, workshops and interactive games for all age groups.
Those attending the celebrations will also be treated to German food and beverages at one of the five tents.
Various German organisations and foundations operating in Georgia will share information about their activities and also engage visitors in various attractions.
The festival, organised by the German Embassy to Georgia, is being held within the Georgian-German Year, an 18-month-long series of cultural and political events celebrating 200 years of friendship and 25 years of diplomatic relations between the two countries that officially kicked off in April of this year.
