A photo story by Agenda.ge photographer Nino Alavidze has been exhibited in the German city of Freiburg.

Freiburg is hosting a variety of cultural events dedicated to the 25th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Georgia and Germany. Two photo exhibitions, one by Alavidze and the other by Christoph Schumacher, are among them.

Photo project ‘Two stories from Georgia’ introduces Georgia through pictures.

Alavidze tells a story of a half-deserted Georgian village of Mitarbi, its empty buildings with only a couple of families residing and their unexpected guests.

It was 25 years ago when Georgia and Germany established their first diplomatic ties, while 200 years ago the very first Germans emigrated to Georgia.

The photo exhibition opened on May 24 and will last until May 30.
