Georgia joins Night at the Museum celebrations tonight

Want to explore some cultural venues in Georgia tonight? If ‘yes’ you have a unique opportunity to join this year's Night at the Museum celebration all around the country.

From 9 pm until 1 am tonight, dozens of museum venues will open their doors for visitors of all ages looking to spend the night in educational programs, lectures, cognitive games, musical performances, guided tours and many other activities free of charge in the Georgian capital of Tbilisi and regions.

You can choose in between one or several venues.

  • S. Janashia Museum of Georgia at 3, Sh. Rustaveli Ave.
  • Sh. Amiranashvili Museum of Fine Arts at 1, L, Gudiashvili Str,
  • D. Shevardnadze National Gallery at 11, Sh. Rustaveli Ave.
  • I. Grishashvili Tbilisi History Museum (Karvasla) at 8, Sioni Str.
  • G. Chitaia Open Air Museum of Ethnography at 1, Turtle Lake Road
  • Elene Akhvlediani House-Museum at 12, Leo Kiacheli Str.

In regions:

  • Sighnaghi Museum at 8, Sh. Rustaveli blind-alley, Sighnaghi, Kakheti
  • Svaneti Museum of History and Ethnography at 7, A. Ioseliani Str. Mestia, Svaneti
  • Iv. Javakhishvili Samtskhe-Javakheti History Museum at 1, Kharistcharishvili Str. Rabat Fortress, Akhaltsikhe, Samtskhe-Javakheti

Launched last year, the event marks Georgia's participation in the European Night of Museums initiative, patronised by the Council of Europe and UNESCO.
