The Government of Georgia is making efforts to promote Georgia as a tourist destination for international guests.

To fulfil this goal a group of German journalists will come to Georgia for an organised press tour next month.

The journalists will arrive in Tbilisi on May 1 for a five day visit. Within the trip they will visit different regions of Georgia and write stories for German media about Georgia and what the country has to offer.

The visit was organised by Georgia’s Foreign Minister and Georgia’s Embassy in Berlin.

The German media representatives will also be informed about the reforms being implemented in Georgia.

This was not the first time Georgia organised such meeting for international press. Foreign journalists and bloggers from all over the globe are occasionally invited to Georgia and offered a domestic tour with one condition – to write stories about Georgia once they return home.

The initiative serves to promote Georgia abroad.
