A top level meeting between the President of Georgia and the President of France has left a good impression and a sense of optimism on the mind of the Georgian official.
Georgia’s President Giorgi Margvelashvili met his French counterpart Francois Hollande in Paris yesterday during his official visit to the European nation.

After the meeting Margveashvili said France was a valuable supporter of Georgia and the meeting left him feeling positive about the future of Georgia.
"I saw the President of the country that traditionally is a strong and stable supporter of Georgia and Georgia’s interests,” Margvelashvili said.
"After this meeting I feel even more optimistic about the issues relating the future of our country.”
President Hollande hosted Margvelashvili at Elysee Palace in the French capital.

The Administration of Georgia’s President said the meeting focused on Georgia’s integration into European and Euro-Atlantic structures.
"At the meeting the French side highlighted the progress Georgia has achieved, not only regarding its visa liberalisation process but also in bilateral relations,” said the President’s Administration in a press statement.
Meeting Hollande was part of the Georgian President’s three-day visit to France which served to deepen Georgia-France relations.
Margvelashvili will return home tomorrow.
