The Secretary General of the Council of Europe (CoE) Thorborn Jagland has told Georgia’s Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili that the issue of Georgia’s occupied regions was on the agenda of the international organisation.
In Strasbourg, France today Jagland met Kvirikashvili and discussed the upcoming Georgia-CoE three-year Action Plan, reforms in Georgia and the situation in Georgia’s two occupied regions.
After the meeting it was announced Jagland will visit Georgia in May this year and while here he will reveal Georgia-CoE Action Plan for 2016-2019.

Jagland said Georgia was a "special” country as it initiated the creation of the "very ambitious” three-year Action Plan that would serve to empower democracy, strengthen human rights and the rule of law in Georgia.
For his part Kvirikashvili thanked Jagland for his personal support to enhance the CoE’s relationship with Georgia.
