A new award is helping cement the growing reputation of Tbilisi Shota Rustaveli International Airport as one of the top airports in Eastern Europe.
Today it was revealed the airport, serving Georgia’s capital city, won a top award from Pegasus Airlines for its operational excellence in baggage handling.
TAV Georgia, the company that operates Tbilisi, Batumi and Kutaisi international airports, announced Tbilisi International Airport had won an award for best baggage handling performance.

Specifically, the airport received the Ground Excellence Award from Pegasus, a Turkish low-cost airline.
Meanwhile last week the airport was named among the top 10 airports in Eastern Europe in the World Airport Awards for the third year in a row.
The awards are regarded as the most prestigious accolades for the airport industry and the result was calculated by passenger voting in the largest annual airport customer service survey conducted by Skytrax.
