Korea visit: Georgia’s Parliament Speaker meets Samsung executive

Georgia’s Parliament Speaker David Usupashvili is on an official visit to South Korea to participate in high level political and economic events.
Usupashvili is paying a four-day official visit to capital Seoul, starting today.
Over the coming days the Georgian official will visit Samsung Electronics and meet the Vice President of the company. He will also visit the Samsung Innovation Museum and K-Water Control Panel, where he was scheduled to meet the company’s CEO.
Usupashvili will also hold a meeting with the Speaker of the Korean National Assembly.
The Georgian official was accompanied to Korea, via Japan, by a Parliamentary delegation.
Japan’s State Minister for Foreign Affairs Yoji Muto says Georgia is a significant player in the region and his country is interested in boosting economic ties with the post-Soviet nation.
Georgia - as a corridor linking Europe and Asia – is a very important country for Japan. Georgia’s Parliament Speaker David Usupashvili said this after he met Japanese parliament officials in Tokyo today.
Korea’s National Assembly fully supports Georgia’s development
"Georgia is God’s gift and I am looking forward to the time when Georgia and the Republic of Korea will work together.”
Economic and business relations between the two countries were in focus of today’s meeting between Georgia’s Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili and chairman of Korea's National Assembly Chung Ui-hwa in Tbilisi.
