February 3: Date of President’s annual address revealed

The President of Georgia Giorgi Margvelashvili will deliver his annul speech before lawmakers on February 3.

It will be Margvelashvili’s third annual address since being elected the President of Georgia in October 2013.

The President will touch on all state important issues in his annual address. This will include both domestic and foreign directions.

According to the Georgian Constitution, it is customary for the country’s president to deliver a speech once a year.

The format of this year’s address is yet to be defined. The Parliament Bureau will decide whether it will include debates or any other format. The President himself said he was ready for any type of speech.

Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili will attend the President’s address at the Parliament Building in Kutaisi on Wednesday.
