The road linking Georgia with Russia has reopened after it was closed due to heavy snow.

A short time ago Georgia’s Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure announced the Gudauri-Kobi section of north-eastern Georgia’s Mtskheta-Stepantsminda-Larsi road had reopened to all vehicles after yesterday’s closure caused by bad weather.

The Mtskheta-Stepantsminda-Larsi road is the route linking Georgia with Russia.

Yesterday the Gudauri-Kobi section of this road was closed for truck and trailers, semi-trailers and vehicles that could carry more than 30 passengers.

Now the route has reopened to all vehicles.
