Cooperation between Georgian and German law enforcers is exemplary, says a German high official.

German State Secretary at the Federal Ministry of Internal Affairs, Emily Haber, voiced her positive thoughts about Georgia when she met Georgia’s Foreign Minister Mikheil Janelidze, who is on an official visit to Berlin, Germany.

Hamber praised the high level of cooperation between Germany and Georgia, especially the "exemplary collaboration” between the interior ministries, including police, of the two countries.

The cooperation has turned out successful in many directions, especially in the fight against organised crime,” said Haber.

The pair also discussed the efforts of the Georgian Government to intensify its European and Euro-Atlantic integration.

Germany recognises Georgia’s progress in its visa liberalisation process and is interested in Georgia receiving a visa-free regime with the EU,” Haber said.

She stressed "Georgia is a stable partner of the European family” and "the best example of democratic development in the region”.
