Prime Minister of Georgia Giorgi Kvirikashvili says his team has a plan how Georgia’s western, coastal Adjara region could be transformed into an all-season tourist resort.

The PM shared this vision when presenting the ruling Georgian Dream-Democratic Georgia ( GDDG) majoritarian candidates for Adjara in the region’s main Batumi city, prior to the October 8 Parliamentary Elections.

I am happy to see that the region is full of tourists and visitors. We have a plan and definite intentions how both costal and mountainous Adjara could become very attractive for tourists,” Kvirikashvili said.

Expanding on this idea the PM announced the plan to renovate and create new roads leading from seaside areas to the mountainous parts of Adjara, as well as constructing new mountain resorts in the region, meeting all European standards.

The PM stressed the large-scaled activities would benefit both locals and the state economy.

Since the pre-election campaign kicked off on June 8,  the PM has been on nationwide tour to promote the GDDG party.
