Georgia's picturesque natural scenery and varying landscapes has become subject of a new video that takes advantage of close range aerial filming technique.

Released in high definition format, the aerial footage captures the details of some of the country's most special places that annually draw global tourists and locals alike.

The production uses aerial drones to present new angles of known natural spots and monuments scattered across Georgia.

The video was created by Tbilisi-based studio Sky Tech, which last year collaborated with Agenda.ge for the interactive web documentary Tbilisi Flood.

Their new work features iconic sights like northern Georgia's mountainous villages with ancient towers as well as the natural beauty of snow-capped peaks and shots of Tbilisi's old town areas.

Authors of the footage commented on their new creation, noting the impression created by the places they captured in the footage:

No matter how hard you try (through conversation, writing or filming) it’s simply impossible to fully transcend the unique beauty of our marvellous land. In order to wholly comprehend, you just have to experience it yourself, period. Understanding all this, we’ve tried nonetheless... here’s our modest attempt."
