A new promotional video for one of Georgia's most iconic countryside locations shows Mestia, a town of Svaneti highland province covered in snow and hosting holiday-goers as the winter season officially opened last week.
The edit by Robbie RG Commercial, a filmmaking/videography company, was released online on Tuesday, celebrating the "amazing and powerful" town marked with iconic Medieval towers and surrounded by mountains.
Filmed by Robbie Smith, it features cinematic views of the town while also showcasing some of the attractions visitors can expect.
Ski areas, music performances and opportunity to socialise in the picturesque environment are on display in the highlights for the video.
The season in Mestia was launched with outdoor exhibitions, ice sculpture display, a photo zone and Christmas fair.
Entertainment including musical performances and a fire show was also offered to locals and travellers looking to kick-start their winter adventures.
The winter season will open this weekend in Georgia’s highland region of Svaneti and in its central town of Mestia, so get out your jackets, put on your gloves and get out there to experience an unforgettable winter adventure.
