People in Georgia with creative minds and bright ideas are invited to participate in the inaugural Seedstars Tbilisi 2016 competition and win money to fund their entrepreneurial idea.
This year Seedstars World is hosting the first Georgian-leg of its worldwide start-up competition recognising innovation and creativity in emerging markets.
Applications are now open until the May 20 deadline, after which candidates will take part in a mentoring session and prepare their final application submissions.
From there the 10 best start-ups will be invited to pitch their ideas to an investment panel and compete to be crowned the most promising seed-stage start-up of Seedstars Tbilisi 2016. This final competition will take place on June 11 in Tbilisi.
Only one winning start-up will join the global Seedstars Family and take part in the regional and global Seedstars Summits in Switzerland. The ultimate world final winner will receive $500,000 USD to finance their new start-up idea.
Seedstars World promotes, connects and this year will invest up to $1.5 million USD in emerging market start-ups through its exclusive start-up competitions in 70 countries.
The local partner of Seedstars World in Georgia is international non-profit organisation Georgian Society of Investment Professionals (GSIP).
