A budding Georgian boxer has been crowned European youth champion while two other aspiring Georgian athletes received bronze medals at the same competition.
Georgia ended the 2015 European Confederation Youth Boxing Championships on a high note, with several of its boxers winning top accolades. The competition took place in Kolobrzeg, Poland from November 19-28.
Seventeen-year-old Nikoloz Begadze (91kg) won gold and was named the ultimate winner of the youth championship. His teammates Gagik Pozoyani (56kg) and Eskerkhan Madievi (64kg) won bronze medals in their respective categories.
The Georgian team consisted of seven boxers, of which three won medals.
