Azerbaijani President coming to Georgia in November

An Azerbaijani delegation led by the country’s President Ilham Aliyev is coming to Georgia on an official visit next month.
On November 6 Georgia will host its Azerbaijani guests, announced the official webpage of Georgia’s Prime Minister.
The upcoming visit was confirmed over the weekend when Georgia’s PM Irakli Garibashvili met with President Aliyev in Azerbaijan.
On Saturday, October 10 Garibashvili and Aliyev met for three hours and discussed regional security issues as well as ways to deepen cooperation in the energy and transport fields.

At the beginning of the meeting the Azerbaijani President emphasised the importance of Garibashvili’s visit and spoke about the two country’s friendly relations,” noted the statement on the PM’s official webpage.
Garibashvili only spent several hours in Azerbaijan before he returned home later the same day.
Georgia and Azerbaijan are continuing to exchange high-profile visits with the intention of further intensifying the strategic partnership of the two neighbouring countries.
The top officials from Georgia and Azerbaijan are pledging to spare no effort to support and strengthen their "neighbourly relations” which have "truly strategic character”.
