Georgia establishes business ties with French investors

The Georgian National Investment Agency and the French Business Confederation’s international organisation signed a Memorandum of Understanding today to develop closer bilateral ties.

A Georgian delegation’ is on an official visit to France to introduce Georgia’s business and investment potential to the French business society.

Today the Georgian team, led by the country’s Foreign Minister Irakli Kviriashvili, participated in a business forum organised by MEDEF, the French Business Confederation’s international organisation and the Georgian National Investment Agency.

The Georgian delegation provided the MEDEF side with information about the past and ongoing reforms undertaken in Georgia.

The business forum aimed to promote Georgia’s investment opportunities and specific projects among the French business society.

The event was hosted by MEDEF president Jean Burelle.

Within the event the Georgian National Investment Agency and MEDEF signed a Memorandum of Understanding that envisaged regular bilateral exchange of information and participation in each other’s business meetings and events.

MEDEF is a large noncommercial organisation in France that brings together up to 800,000 companies of the French Business Confederation. MEDEF is oriented towards developing international trade, as well as towards encouraging French companies’ investment activities worldwide.
