Strasbourg Convention Centre welcomes Georgian opera stars

Seven of Georgia’s top classical music stars are preparing to take to one the top opera theatres in France in a gala performance for culture and charity.
Next month soprano Nino Machaidze, mezzo-soprano Anita Rachvelishvili, tenors Otar Jorjikia and Badri Maisuradze, baritone Lado Ataneli and bass Paata Burchuladze will sing at the Opera Gala at the Strasbourg Convention Centre.
The Georgian singers will be accompanied by the Georgian Philharmonic Orchestra and conducted by renowned maestro Nicoloz Rachveli.

The event, presented by the Ivanana Foundation, serves two purposes; raise awareness of the opera culture, promote Georgian singers and raise money for charity.
Funds raised at the concert will help support orphaned children and those deprived of parental care.
The concert is supported by the Ministry of Culture and Monument Protection of Georgia and Association Humanitaire Espoir 2008.
