Foreigners who need a visa to come to Georgia are needing to fork out less cash to obtain a visa to enter the country.
The cost of obtaining a Georgian visa has dropped more than 50 percent, officials announced today.
Since September 1, 2014 it cost $50 USD (113 GEL) to obtain a Georgian visa (Georgia’s Consular fee) however this has been amended to $20 USD (45 GEL).
Payment is available in US dollar or in GEL, the national currency of Georgia.
Under the latest rules, citizens from 94 countries can enter Georgia and stay for a maximum of 360 days without a visa.
Meanwhile citizens who come from countries that need a visa to enter Georgia can apply for a visa online. This service is available here.
