Georgia is using international experts to help create a general development plan for the country.
The country’s Prime Minister announced Germany would be a leading force in terms of spatial arrangement within the general plan for the country.
Members of a Governmental Committee have already been tasked with studying Germany’s past and learn how it and other leading states developed a similar plan in their home nations. Once this research was complete, a company would be selected to consult with Georgia as it worked to adopt the new development plan.
"It is a very significant project that should be settled very shortly [and] that is why we should observe foreign experience initially and only after this we should launch our efforts,” said PM Irakli Garibashvili.
Leading companies in the United States, Denmark and Singapore are offering their consulting services to the Georgian authorities to help the country develop its spatial arrangement plan.
