Tbilisi locals and the city visitors are being invited to attend the final phase of an annual summer festival showcasing the best of Georgia's folk culture and traditions through music, art, martial arts and more.
The country’s annual Art-Gene Festival that kicked off in Georgia’s regions last month, arrives in Tbilisi today.
The Georgian culture celebration venue will be the Open Air Museum of Ethnography in Vake district, near Turtle Lake, where revelers from all over the city will be welcomed from 12pm.
The Museum exposes 14 ethnographic zones of Georgia; each of which presents the particular historic-ethnographic area of the country.
Sukhishvilebi, Georgia’s internationally recognised folk dance company, will entertain guests with their impressive performance this evening at 10pm.
Meanwhile the seven-day outdoor festival will offer demonstrations in martial arts, handicrafts, folk dance choreography, instrumental music, poetry and arts and crafts from various regions of Georgia.
This year’s Art-Gene performers will include Nino Katamadze and the band Insight, folk-rock band 33a, Robi Kukhianidze and OUTSIDER and many more.
