Georgia’s National Judo team are first runner-up champions of the European Games.
The team took second place at the 2015 European Judo Team Championship in Baku, Azerbaijan after losing to France in the final.
Before the final match, the Georgian team defeated the Czech and Hungarian teams five-nil.
The Georgian side ended the international competition with 16 medals – two gold, six silver and eight bronze. Of this, six medals were earned by judokas.
Overall, Georgia took 21st place among 40 countries who competed in the Baku European Games.
