In a bid to explore the unique taste of Georgian wine, hundreds of wine-lovers joined an exclusive Georgian wine tasting event in Paris, organized by the International Organisation of Vine and Wine (OIV).

OIV is an inter-Governmental organisation that promotes vine and wine products worldwide.

Seven Georgian wine companies were on show. They were Telavi Wine Caller, Schukhman Wines Georgia, Chateau Mukhrani, Tbilvino, Khareba, GWS and Teliani Valley.

Visitors to the wine tasting exhibition had the opportunity to become acquainted with Georgia’s unique wine traditions, which is one of the oldest wine-making methods and known as "the cradle of wine”. The guests explored the flavor of the indigenous, unique wine taste of Georgian wine.

They were also informed about Georgia’s wine history and culture, they learnt about the country’s modern developments in the wine industry and about the National Wine Agency – a Governmental body responsible for wine development in Georgia.

The fair was attended by respected officials within the international wine industry, including the OIV vice president Yves Benard, diplomats, sommeliers and French Government officials.
