A group of European investors have examined Georgia’s investment opportunities and discussed access to local business projects at the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development today.

The delegation includes investors from European Union (EU) countries including Belgium and France, the Ministry reported.

Today the business representative met Deputy Economy Ministers Ketevan Bochorishvili and Dimitry Kumsishvili. They are expected to also meet other Government officials to better evaluate the investment potential of the country.

After the meeting, EU investors told local media: "Georgia is among the very few countries that speaks in the language of investors”.

Bochorishvili believed the European investors were eager to spend money in energy, agriculture, real estate, hydro-energy, tourism and infrastructural sectors.

"The investors expressed interest to co-participate in investment projects. After evaluating the prospective sectors they will present more detailed project proposals,” Bochorishvili said.

The EU investors will be in Georgia for three days.
