The meeting between Georgia’s Special Representative for Relations with Russia Zurab Abashidze and Russian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Grigory Karasin has been postponed by 10 days.

The sides were set to meet on March 4 in Prague but Karasin demanded the meeting be postponed. His reasons for delaying the meeting are unknown.

The meeting will now take place on March 14 in Prague.

The two sides are expected to discuss renewal of trade between the two nations, transport connections and humanitarian-cultural relations. Implementing investment projects between the countries was also on the agenda.

Abashidze also noted the pair would also critically discuss a potential meeting between the Georgian and Russian Presidents.
