Georgia will sign the Association Agreement with the European Union before August.
This important news was announced following a meeting between Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili and Swedish Foreign Minister Carl Bildt, at the World Economic Forum in Davos.
Georgia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Maia Panjikidze and Minister of Economy Giorgi Kvirikashvili also attended the meeting.
Bildt and Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski, travelled to Tbilisi as part of their official duties in October last year, before the Presidential Elections.
At the time, Bildt said Georgia had made progress on its path to European integration, however he warned against selective justice.
