National Security Council improves transparency

The Secretary of the Council Irine Imerlishvili and IDFI Director Giorgi Kldiashvili signed a cooperation memorandum today.

The National Security Council of Georgia and the Institute for Development of Freedom of Information (IDFI) signed a memorandum of understanding to develop a system where information relating to the Council is open and transparent.

The document was signed by the Secretary of the Council Irine Imerlishvili and IDFI Director Giorgi Kldiashvili.

The aim of the memorandum was to increase the Council’s transparency and accountability, by dicloing public information in compliance with Georgian legislation.

It also aimed to upgrade the Council’s website to higher standards.

Information about the Secretary of the Security Council, her deputies, the administration and other public information, including financial expenses connected to the work of the Council, will be published on the webpage.
