Head of Presidential Administration resigns

Four officials from the Presidential Administration have resigned today, including head of the Presidential Administration.

Presidential Administration chief Lasha Abashidze, his deputy, President's Advisor in Foreign Affairs Vano Machavariani and head of the Administration's logistics have resigned.

Abashidze confirmed the news today and said he made this decision together with President Giorgi Margvelashvili.

"I confirm that I have resigned. This was a joint decision,” he said, and denied his resignation was controversial.
