The U.S. Ambassador Norland's New Year message

The U.S. Ambassador in Georgia Richard Norland wished Happy New Year 2014 in his New Year message released on the Embassys Facebook page.

"Dear friends, on behalf of my family and the entire community and the American Embassy in Tbilisi, I would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone in Georgia a wonderful holiday season, happy, healthy and peaceful New Year, Norland said in a video message.

Ambassador particularly congratulated the New Year to "the brave Georgian and American soldiers who are serving together far from home, in Afghanistan this holiday season.

"Despite our religious and background, holidays is the time to come together the family and friends, and opportunity to share our gratitude for the blessings of the past year, Norland said.

"Now more than ever, it is important for all Georgians to work together in pursuit of their common goal to build a confident, prosperous, and democratic Georgia, providing stability and a very strategic part of world.

The ambassador also stressed that the United States supports all Georgians working together to build the brighter future for their children and country.

"I hope you and your family enjoy peaceful and joyful celebration and to start a new year with fresh energy and hope of the future, Norland said.
