A competition for the design of Georgian Lari sign launched

National Bank of Georgia (NBG) announces the competition to create the Georgian Lari sign.
A temporary commission that has been set up to select the Lari sign which will discuss the applications. The deadline for applications is January 27, 2014. Interested participants should send their applications to the National Bank of Georgia, at the address: 2 Sanapiro str, Tbilisi.
The applications must be sent in according to the rules of the Lari sign competition, which can be found on the website of the National Bank of Georgia.

The national currency of Georgia now has its own sign. From today, Georgian Lari (GEL) will be depicted by a special symbol that derived from the Georgian alphabet character "L”.
