The parliamentary minority names five demands.
The statement about the demands was made today after the end of the Political Council emergency session at the UNMs Office.
As the leader of the parliamentary minority, David Bakradze said, the first demand is creation of a commission, which will investigate the issue raised by the mayor about the pressure on the court. The UNM demands this issue to be investigated and specific facts identified.
In this part, the party demands all the phone records of those police officials and authorities to be checked. Who have been named by Ugulava.
As one of the UNM members, Giorgi Vashadze said, "The phone records are needed to find out whether the Tbilisi City Court judge and the police officials met.
Moreover, Vashadze demanded the tower transmitters records to be checked, in order to determine where these people were moving during the given period and whether they were assembled in one particular area.
"Doing so it can be shown that the judges were directly pressured in order to appoint the night judges and make a political decision at midnight in absence of the defense, Vashadze explained.
The second demand is to create an investigation commission in order to investigate the statement of the former PM VanoMerabishvilis. about his illegal abduction and pressure imposed on him.
The third requirement of UNM is a joint meeting of the Human Rights and Legal parliamentary committees, where the above mentioned issues will be discussed.
Also, National Movement requires the Public Defender to answer the questions at the parliament. As they explain, this necessary as the Ombudsman visited Merabishvili at prison and has to inform the MPs about the details of their conversation.
As for the fifth demand, UNM wants the Chief Prosecutor to answer the parliamentary minoritys questions at the parliament. David Bakradze said they will invite the Chief Prosecutor, since too many questions emerged regarding Merabishvilis case, as well as in regard of many other issues.
The opposition agreed to these five demands, after a three hours long council session.
