US Assistant Secretary meeting at Georgian Defense Ministry

US Assistant Secretary Victoria Nuland met with Georgian Minister of Defense Irakli Alasania within her one-day visit to Tbilisi. The meeting was attended by Chief of the Joint Staff of Georgian Armed Forces Vakhtang Kapanadze and his deputies.

The Defense Minister thanked Nuland for the American sides help in the process of rehabilitation for wounded Georgian soldiers.

"They also discussed the issues of Georgian-American bilateral partnership. Irakli Alasania highlighted that he paid a productive visit to Washington this August when the partners discussed deepening of military partnership, as said in the Ministrys statement.

Earlier today, Victoria Nuland met with Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili and Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili.
