45,000 Families in Georgia are left without electricity

The floods damaged more than 25 houses in the village Patara Poti, in the Samegrelo region.

The electricity was interrupted due to the bad weather in the several regions of Georgia in the middle of the night, November 3. More than 45,000 families are left without electricity till today.

However, according to the electricity distributor company "Energo-Pro Georgia administration, the technical brigades are continuing work to repair transmission lines.

"Over 120 transmission lines are damaged. Our groups are working hard. We hope that tomorrow evening, the electricity will be repaired and turned on. said the Head of the PR Department of "Energo-Pro Georgia Avto Dvalishvili.

The storm raged yesterday over the West Georgian territory. Several seaside towns are flooded. Early morning the floods damaged more than 25 houses in the village Patara Poti, in the Samegrelo region. The residents lost their domestic animals and poultry. The Patara Poti residents appealed to the government for support.

The bad weather also damaged houses in the East Georgian region. In Gurjaani, Kakhati region, over 20 houses were unroofed by the heavy wind.

The Rikoti Pass that is a mountain pass in the southern portion of the Likhi Range is receiving snow. All vehicular traffic has stopped, after the trailer was crashed on the iced road.

The National Weather Station forecast, the cold and windy weather will be improved today, until the late-night.
