Ex-minister of Internal Affairs on missing people’s case

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, since 2010, 631 citizens have been lost in Georgia.

The nominee for Prime Minister and ex-minister of Internal Affairs, Irakli Garibashvili during the meeting with the parliamentarian majority, stated that the investigation about mass disappearances is ongoing.

"Many people have been disappeared, said Irakli Garibashvili. "Unfortunately, according to the investigative, some members of the parliamentarian minority may be faced very serious allegations, whose names are linked to the mass disappearance case, including kidnapping and murder. I dont want to reveal the investigation details, but very soon the citizens will be announced how several hundred people disappeared during recent years.

Garibashvili also mentioned that the family members of many lost people are still waiting for them.

According to the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs, since 2010 till today, 631 citizens have been lost in Georgia. About 200 people disappeared in 2011 and 27 of them are children.
