Georgian customs officers have seized ₾41,540 ($16,007) in undeclared silver items on the Sarpi border crossing with Turkey in the country’s south-west, the Revenue Service said on Wednesday.
The items - weighing in at about 21,635 kg - were seized following an inspection of a foreign citizen’s vehicle, and found in a concealed compartment.
The case has been handed over to the Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance.
