Georgian wrestler Ilia Sulamanidze claimed a gold medal at the 2022 Judo World Masters competition in Jerusalem on Thursday.
Sulamanidze defeated his Dutch rival Simeon Catharina in the -100 kg category of the competition with a warning in extra time and brought the second gold medal for the Georgian national team.
Earlier today, another Georgian athlete and European Champion Luka Maisuradze defeated the World Champion, Uzbek Davlat Bobonov, winning a bronze medal in the -90 kg category.
The Georgian national team finished the Jerusalem Masters with two golds and one bronze medal. The first gold medal was collected by the World and European Champion Tato Grigalashvili on Wednesday in the - 81 kg category after defeating his Azerbaijani rival Saeid Mollaei.
