Georgia’s national Greco-Roman wrestling team on Wednesday returned home from the U15 Europe Championships in Zagreb with three gold and three bronze medals.
The team’s haul included medals by Erekle Tavberidze, Vakhtang Lolua and Giorgi Aladashvili, who earned gold medals in the 48 kg, 52 kg and 75 kg categories.
The results include the second gold for the 14-year-old Lolua over the summer, following his earning of the title of the Under-17 champion in the 48 kg weight category in Bucharest.
Davit Gabedava (44 kg), Rezi Gujabidze (48 kg) and Luka Pipia (52 kg) claimed three bronze medals in their respective weight categories from the tournament.
The Championships took place between July 13-19.
