Georgian wrestler Luka Maisuradze claimed a gold medal at the European Judo Championships after defeating Serbia’s Darko Brasnjovich in the 90 kg weight category final on Sunday .
The result is the biggest achievement of Maisuradze’s career yet, following two bronze medals at the tournament’s previous editions.
The Georgian team at this year’s event has claimed two gold and two bronze medals, with Tato Grigalashvili earning the 81 kg gold to join Maisuradze’s result, and Eter Liparteliani (57 kg) and Guram Tushishvili (100+ kg) taking bronze medals.
