Georgian youth judoka team gets 3 medals in Slovenia

The Georgian junior team of judoka received 1 silver and 2 bronze medals at the Junior European Championships in Maribor, Slovenia last night.
- Luka Maisuradze took silver in the 81kg category and became vice-champion
- Amiran Tsikoridze and Gela Zaalishvili both in the +100kg category took bronze.
Maribor has been hosting individual and team Junior European Judo Championships between September 15-17.
Georgian judoka Varlam Liparteliani has won the silver at the World Judo Championship.
In the final bout in the 100kg category, Liparteliani was defeated by the Japanese judoka Aaron Wolf. The match was extremely close and ended with only one point separating the gold and silver medalists.
