Georgian Karate fighter Gogita Arkania has claimed a gold medal at the 2021 World Karate Championships, becoming the world champion for the second time.
In the competition held in Dubai, Arkania defeated Mexican, Montenegrin, Spanish, American, and Croatian competitors, ultimately winning over Italian Simone Marino in the final.

37-year-old Arkania became the world champion for the first time in 2014, defeating Japanese Ryutaro Araga in the final.
