Police have detained five individuals for the illegal purchase, possession and sale of a large amount of drugs in Kakheti today, reports the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia(MIA).
10 packages of heroin and 33 pills of methadone were seized as a result of a search of the detainees by police officers.
Based on the decision of the court, the law enforcers several times purchased drugs from the detainees as part of covert investigative activities. Police also seized illegally sold heroin as evidence”, reports the press office of MIA.
The crime is punishable from 20 years to lifetime imprisonment.
