Four Georgian sailors who have been kidnapped by pirates from the Libyan-flagged tanker in the Nigerian city of Lagos in late February have returned to Georgia 15 days after being kidnapped.
Congratulating the sailors with the release, the Maritime Transport Agency of Georgia announced earlier today that all of them have gone through a medical observation and feel well.
It also reported that since their kidnapping on February 20 the ship-owner company Oceangold Tankers Inc has spared no efforts to release the sailors.
Representatives of Georgian central and regional government gave welcomed the released sailors at Batumi International Airport in the Georgian Black Sea region of Adjara.
