The Interior Ministry of Georgia has conducted a large-scale operation and arrested 29 members of an organised group of drug dealers, Deputy Interior Minister Vladimer Bortsvadze said at today’s briefing.
A criminal operation of the transportation and sale of drugs across Georgia was uncovered during an investigation that lasted several months.

Georgian law enforcers approached the dealers and asked to buy drugs before arresting them, including heroin and cocaine – the sale was recorded on camera.
The police officers also seized pre-packed heroin for further sale.
The detainees face from eight to 20 years in prison or life sentence.
Police have held 318 people criminally responsible for drug-related crime this year.
